MARKING FILES

If you want to copy, move or delete several files at once, you must "mark" the files first. This tells the computer which files you want to copy, move or delete.

To mark a file, position the pointer next to that file and press the right arrow -> key. The name of the file will be highlighted to indicate that it has been "marked." Press the left arrow <- key to un-mark a file. You may mark as many files as you wish.

[Ctrl-right-arrow] marks all files in the current directory, and
 [Ctrl-left-arrow] un-marks all files.

Caution: If you want to copy, move or delete a single file do not mark the file, just position the pointer in front of the filename and type the desired command. Reason: If you mark a single file the pointer will move down to the next filename. If you then type a command for a single file such as "C", it will copy the file below the one highlighted.
