To rename a file, place the pointer at the desired file and press the [R] key. Then type in the desired new name and press [Enter]. Use the arrow keys to position the pointer, and the Backspace (<--) or Delete (Del) key to erase unwanted characters. You may move up and down the list, changing the names of as many files as desired. Two files cannot have the same name. If you try, you will get the "access denied" error message. This message also will appear if you attempt to rename a file to the name of a subdirectory of the current directory. Press the [F3] key if you want to use the file name (not the extension) of the file directly above the one you're working on.
